Vocabularies
On this page
Vocabularies (Liigitused) are the reusable lists that productions and people are described with. There are two kinds: four classifications, which are WordPress taxonomies with a life cycle, and four content types, which are simple ordered option lists used in the production editor. This page describes the Vocabularies screen of the Hype5 app (Hype5 Theater → Vocabularies). The classic forms of the same lists remain as compatibility screens (Continue in WordPress).
Classifications
| Classification | Assigned to | Extra fields | Own public address |
|---|---|---|---|
| Genres (Žanrid) | productions | parent genre | yes (permalink base for genres) |
| Audience recommendations (Publikusoovitused) | productions | age range 0–120 (minimum not above maximum); the description is shown publicly | no |
| Warnings (Hoiatused) | productions | category Technical or Content (required); public explanation | no |
| Professions (Ametid) | people | — | no |
Managing terms (add, edit, pause, delete) needs manage_hype5t_settings. Choosing terms on a production needs edit_hype5t_productions; on a person, edit_hype5t_persons.
Life cycle
- Pause (Peata) keeps the term on every record that has it, but it is no longer offered for new choices. A paused term stays visible on public pages where it is assigned.
- Reactivate (Taasta) offers it again.
- Delete (Kustuta) removes the term permanently. It is possible only when no record uses the term — drafts, private records and the Trash count — and no other term is under it. Deletion asks for confirmation. Otherwise pause the term instead.
Blank slug keeps the existing identifier. Changing a genre's slug changes its public address.
Adding terms from the editors
In the production and person editors, the genre, audience and profession pickers offer Add “…” when nothing matches, if you may add terms. The new term is created and selected; Manage opens the vocabulary.
Starting terms
On activation, and whenever the plugin updates its database, it adds audience recommendations (3+, 7+, 12+, 14+, 16+ and three descriptive ones), eight warnings and thirteen professions for every name that does not exist as a term yet. The names are in the language of the administrator at that moment. They can be edited or deleted like any other term, but a deleted starting term is added again the next time this runs; pause it instead if you do not want it offered.
Content types (option lists)
| Content type | Used in | Built-in names |
|---|---|---|
| Visitor information (Külastusinfo) | typed visitor rows | parking, arrival, latecomers, cloakroom, other |
| Accessibility features (Ligipääsetavuse võimalused) | production accessibility markers; the schedule's accessibility filter | wheelchair access, hearing loop, audio description, sign language, synchronous translation, Estonian captions, foreign-language captions, additional accessibility information |
| Partner types (Partnerite tüübid) | partners | co-producer, partner, sponsor, supported by, presented by |
| Article types (Artiklite tüübid) | articles and reviews | article, review, interview, news, podcast, other |
Each content type has three columns:
- Built-in names come with the plugin. Their public wording is changed per language in Appearance → Text.
- The theatre's own names: add, rename, reorder and remove; at most 100. Renaming keeps the stored key, so records that use the name keep working. A removed name stays stored on the productions that use it; their editors show it as removed and public pages show the general type instead.
- From add-ons: names added by active add-ons, read-only.
Content types have no pause, delete rule or usage count. Editing them requires manage_options.
