Current documentation

Hype5 Docs 0.2 (2026-10-19) describes:

Product Version Build Code revision Status
Hype5 Theater 0.6.17 Phase 5K build with the single Hype5 Theater menu entry, database schema 5 66fcf7c (2026-10-19) Pre-release
Hype5 Stage 1.0.2 1.0.2 build 0111442 (2026-10-19) Pre-release

Pages show the product versions they apply to at the bottom ("Applies to"), and the footer of every page shows the documentation revision it was built from.

Hype5 Theater 0.6.17 is shared by several pre-release builds. The version number has stayed at 0.6.17 through the development phases 5A to 5K and the navigation change that followed, so the number alone does not identify the build. If you test an earlier 0.6.17 build, some features described here may be missing or behave differently — for example, before the navigation change the Hype5 app was a submenu item called Hype5 app (preview) and the classic submenu was shown to everyone. No public release version has been set yet.

Finding the version you run

  • Hype5 Theater: Plugins screen, or Hype5 Theater → Settings → Advanced in the Hype5 app (plugin and database version; also on the System Status screen).
  • Hype5 Stage: Appearance → Themes → Hype5 Stage → Theme details.
  • An offline manual: open MANIFEST.json next to the documentation folder in the extracted manual. It names the product versions, the code revisions and the documentation revision.

Older and archived versions

No older documentation versions exist yet: this is the first edition. When products are released, documentation will be kept as follows:

Kind Where Notes
Current The main address, docs.hype5it.com/… Always the latest released version of each product.
Supported previous versions Under docs.hype5it.com/v/<product>-<version>/… Built from the documentation tagged for that version, with a notice that a newer version exists. You are never redirected from these pages to instructions for another version.
Archived versions As above, marked archived Kept for reference; no longer updated.
Offline manuals Inside each product download and on Offline manuals Each ZIP carries the documentation for exactly that product version.

How documentation stays in step with the products

  • Each product's own repository remains the authority for features and interfaces; documentation changes are prepared together with product changes.
  • Every page records the source documents and code it is based on, and the product version it applies to.
  • Before publishing, automated checks verify links, anchors, required page information and duplicate addresses, and compare the recorded sources with the current product code so that pages whose sources changed are reviewed.
  • Each published build and offline manual records the documentation revision it was built from.
