Blocks
Hype5 Theater registers two dynamic blocks for sites that use the block editor on pages or posts. They are thin adapters: each block renders on the server through the same code as the corresponding collection shortcode, so output, filters and visibility rules are identical. The plugin's own content types always use the Classic Editor, and nothing in the plugin depends on the block editor.
hype5-theater/productions
Theater productions — a grid of published productions.
| Attribute | Type | Default |
|---|---|---|
limit |
number | 12 |
Rendering is the same as [hype5_productions limit="…"]: the current context by default, the Appearance layout, the filter bar and pagination, and URL filters (hype5_*) applied. See Shortcodes.
hype5-theater/schedule
Theater schedule — upcoming performances with ticket links.
| Attribute | Type | Default |
|---|---|---|
limit |
number | 10 |
production |
number | 0 (all productions) |
Rendering is the same as [hype5_schedule limit="…" production="…"]. Because production is always passed as an attribute, the production filter is not shown in the block's filter bar. See Shortcodes.
Editor behaviour
Both blocks are in the Widgets category. The editor shows a server-side preview and a control for the number of items. Neither block saves markup; the content is rendered on every page view, so changes to productions and performances appear immediately.
For more options than the blocks offer, use a Shortcode block with the full shortcode.
