Hype5 Theater 0.6.17 · Pre-release

People

People are optional public profiles (inimesed). A profile can be linked from credits, appear in the people directory and list the person's productions.

On this page

A credit can link to a profile, but a profile is never required for a credit; see Credits and cast. This page describes the People screen of the Hype5 app and the two separate visibility settings of a profile. The WordPress editor of a person edits the same data and remains as a compatibility screen.

The People list

People in the Hype5 app lists profiles with search, filters (company relationship, hidden profile, not in the directory, publication status, profession) and sorting, 50 per page. Bulk actions, offered by permission: Publish, Switch to draft, Show in directory, Hide from directory, Move to Trash (with Undo). People who changed since the list was loaded, or who someone else is editing, are skipped and named.

The person editor

The person editor has these sections and one Save:

Section Contents
Profile (Profiil) Name, biography (WordPress editor), excerpt, professions, company relationship (Current, Former, Guest / external, Not applicable), the two visibility switches, birth date, sort name, ELAB reference.
Portrait and gallery (Portree ja galerii) Portrait (featured image) and an ordered profile gallery. Images from production galleries where the person is tagged are shown separately and read-only.
Productions (Lavastused) Read-only list of the person's credits from saved productions, grouped Current and Past (past = repertory status Archived); each opens the production's credits.
Display (Kuvamine) Presentation choices for this profile, with inheritance as in Appearance.

Publishing (Publishing…) works as for productions. Publication status, profile visibility and directory visibility are three separate settings.

Profile visibility and directory visibility

Setting When off
Allow public profile page The profile page returns not found to visitors; credits still show the name, without a link; the profile is left out of the people directory, WordPress's REST listings and the sitemap. The profile can still be edited in the administration.
Show in public directory The person is left out of the people list ([hype5_people]). The profile page and links to it stay available.

A credit is the production's information: hiding a profile does not remove the person's name from cast lists. To remove a name from a production page, hide or remove the credit row.

A person profile lists only productions that are published without a password.

Professions

Professions are a vocabulary assigned to people (see Vocabularies). They describe the person in general and are independent of the job written in each credit.

Creating people from the credits editor

In the production's Credits (Meeskond), the person picker offers Create a new person “…”. The new profile is saved at once and linked to the row; the production itself stays unsaved until you save it. Creating a person needs permission to edit people; linking needs permission to manage credits. Someone who may not publish people creates a draft profile.
